Andress to attend summer institute on oral history
Dr. Lauri Andress, assistant professor in the Department of Health Policy, Management, and Leadership, has been accepted to attend the competitive Columbia Center for Oral History Research’s 2019 Summer Institute at Columbia University in June 2019.
The summit's theme is “Oral History from the Margins to the Center: Narrating the Politics of Our Time.” Co-sponsored by the Columbia Journalism School, it will be a summit for theoretical and practical training in oral history methodology, journalism, and the documentation of marginalized narratives, as practiced in a time defined by efforts to disseminate untruths, sow distrust, and imperil the most vulnerable among us.
