Invitation to submit to the Appalachian Futures exhibit at WVU Libraries

WVU faculty are invited to participate in an upcoming exhibit around Appalachian Futures in the Downwn Campus Library, to run August 2019 thru June 2020. The exhibit will replace our current exhibit WATER: A Cross Disciplinary Exhibit Exploring the Significance, Power & Play of Life’s Critical Resources, installed on the main floor, which gets upwards of 4,000 passersby daily. As with the WATER exhibit, which included contributions from over 30 campus and community scholars, artists and practitioners, Appalachian Futures will include creative work as well as visualized scholarship in the form of consistently designed panel displays.

Details on the exhibit themes, submission instructions and timeline can be found on the Libraries exhibits webpage. If you are interested in participating, you may do so in a small way, contributing research for a panel display, offering your knowledge for a public program, or giving insight into the installation, promotion or otherwise; you may also contribute in a large way, as a formal partner, contributing a small amount for our promotions, installations, printing and reception.

Sally Deskins, WVU Libraries Exhibits & Programs Coordinator, will hold a meeting soon at the Downtown Campus Library to answer questions and show the example of the WATER exhibit. Please contact her you are interested and your general availability over the next six weeks.
