SPH exhibitor needed for WV State Fair in August 2019
Planning for the State Fair of West Virginia is underway, and WVU Extension is hoping to finalize all University exhibitors soon.
The State Fair will run August 8-17, 2019, and Extension is leading the effort to organize interactive exhibits from WVU programs throughout the fair. All WVU-related programs will exhibit in the WVU Building on the fair grounds. As always, they like to have consistent representation from Health Sciences.
Health Sciences exhibitors are NOT required to attend the full length of the fair. Rather there is one space in the building through which all HSC entities rotate on a daily basis. The HSC VP Office will cover the cost of tickets to the Fair for any HSC employee who is exhibiting and will organize a facilities transport of exhibit materials to the WVU Building on the fairgrounds. HSC exhibitors are responsible for the costs of their transportation and lodging, but the VP Office will assist in coordinating lodging.
The SPH would like to continue outreach efforts to this state-wide audience. While it’s not considered a student recruitment event, the WVU Building hosts thousands of visitors throughout the week, meaning there is significant exposure for your unit on any given day.
WVU does ask that all exhibitors provide an interactive activity as part of their exhibit, as this is not intended to be a “tabling” event.
