WV AWARE seeking stakeholder input on domestic violence in healthcare
Danielle Davidov (WVU School of Public Health), Laurie Thompsen (WV Coalition Against Domestic Violence), and Elizabeth Cox (University of Wisconsin-Madison) would like to invite WVU School of Public Health faculty, staff, and students to attend WV AWARE’s 3rd Annual Stakeholder Forum.
WV AWARE (Asking Women About Relationship Experiences) is seeking input from people who are interested in improving domestic violence screening and assessment in healthcare settings. WV AWARE aims to prioritize survivor and stakeholder knowledge and expertise to inform research in this field. Your participation at this forum will guide our efforts to develop trainings and workshops that will be offered to our members. We will also share our progress and important next steps for WV AWARE including making formal recommendations for future research in the field of domestic violence in healthcare.
Your input at this forum will guide our efforts to improve how health care responds to domestic violence. You will be compensated for your time and travel, and lunch will be served. This forum will take place on:
- Monday, June 10, 2019
- 11:30 am - 2:00 pm (Check in at 11:00am)
- Stonewall Resort, Roanoke, WV
To aid our planning, please RSVP to Jes Coffman, project coordinator, at 304-293-6283 or wvaware@gmail.com by June 1, 2019. Even if you can't attend at this time, we welcome knowing of your interest so we can share next steps. Please feel free to share the attached flyer with others outside WVU SPH who may be interested in this event.
