WVU Public Heath Training Center offering multiple stipends for SPH student projects

The WVU Public Health Training Center (PHTC), a member of the Mid Atlantic Regional Public Health Training Center (MAR-PHTC), aims to enhance the public health workforce at all levels through training and education, including experiential learning opportunities for students. The Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) funds the MAR-PHTC.

For the 2018-2019 academic year, the PHTC will support nine WVU student projects that include (1) field placements at a community agency and (2) faculty-student collaborative research projects through June 2019. Students can apply for these opportunities using the application attached. Selected applicants will receive a $3,500 stipend for completing the project requirements.

Applications are due to Audra Hamrick, Director of Public Health Practice, by November 13, 2018.
